I always feel a little discombobulated when I am on vacation. I still have a laptop and high speed access up here at the lake, but I just miss my little creating room with my sweet desktop and comfy chair at home. It will really be nice to get home on Saturday.
The boys have been up early (before 7am) every day up here and are going to bed later. At home they have their separate rooms, and although I do like the idea of them sharing a room eventually, the reality of this week has shown me that I am not quite ready for it. Maybe they would get used to having each other there and not CHAT (well, Ben appropriately says no, yes and oohh) so much. I love my in-laws, but it has been exhausting with all these kids and parents...especially when you are just used to being together as a family of 4 all the time.
I've created no layouts up here, even though I spent a bunch of time burning my kits to a DVD before I left my house. Most of the reason is that I broke out with poison-something (most likely poison sumac) literally ALL OVER my body. The swelling, itching and pain has taken its toll and all I can do it search my scrap magazines and turn down the corner on the layouts I want to scraplift. I can't really think about anything original at this point as it makes my head hurt too much. I went to the ER on July 4th, because I could not stand it and am now happily munching on 4 new drugs - one of which is prednisone. Boy, what a difference it made. I'm still a red, oozy mess, but at least the pain and SOME of the itching has passed.
Since a post has to have a picture, here are a couple of the Alex with the various animals we've caught or found so far up here. It's been fish, salamanders, toads and turtles....... Ben, of course, has been bewitched by the beautiful pink and purple toys that his girl cousins have brought!!
